# Terms of use

What Lorg Check is, what it is not, and what you agree to by using it.

Last updated 14 October 2026

- **1. Who we are**: Lorg Check is provided by Lorg Labs, Ireland ("we", "us"). You can reach us at [info@lorglabs.com](mailto:info@lorglabs.com), also to ask for the name of the person who runs Lorg Labs.
- **2. What the service is**: Lorg Check runs automated checks of public blockchain data and answers a question about a token or an address: **allow**, **caution**, **block** or **unknown**, with a score and the reasons.

  It is information to help you decide. It is **not** financial, investment, legal, tax or compliance advice, and not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. It is **not a guarantee.** "Allow" means we found nothing that should stop a trade at the moment we looked. A token can still fall in price, and things can change after the check. Our sanctions screening covers the United States OFAC list only; it is not a compliance programme.
- **3. Your decisions are yours**: You, and any software you run, decide what to do with an answer. We never hold, move or sign for anyone's funds. The trades we run are simulations.
- **4. Who may use it**: The service is offered to businesses and developers, not to consumers. You must be 18 or older and able to agree to these terms, for yourself or for the organisation you act for. You may not use it if you are on a sanctions list or where using it would be unlawful.
- **5. Using it fairly**: You may use our answers in your own product and show them to your users. You may not:

  - resell or republish our answers in bulk as a data product of your own, without our written agreement;
  - try to get around the limits or the payment;
  - probe, overload or disrupt the service;
  - use it for anything unlawful.

  Limits apply and are published with the prices (`GET /v1/pricing`). If we give you an API key, keep it secret and tell us at once if it may have leaked.
- **6. Paying per check**: Without an account, you pay for each check in USDC on Base, inside the request itself. The price is stated in our reply to an unpaid request and at `GET /v1/pricing`; the price that applies is the one stated in that reply.

  **You are charged only when we return an answer of allow, caution or block.** An error or an "unknown" is not charged. A payment on a blockchain is final and we cannot reverse it. If you believe you were charged when you should not have been, write to us with the payment's transaction and we will refund it to the wallet that paid.
- **7. API keys and pilots**: A platform that uses the service with an API key does so under its own agreement with us. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement applies.
- **8. Signed answers**: Every answer is signed and carries the block, the time and the version of the rules that produced it. The signature proves what we said and when. It does not prove the answer was right.
- **9. When we get one wrong**: Tell us: by email, or from your code (`POST /v1/report`). A person reads every report, and a confirmed mistake becomes a permanent test. A wrong answer does not by itself entitle anyone to compensation (section 11).
- **10. Availability and changes**: The service is provided as it is and as available, with no promise of uptime or speed. We may change, suspend or withdraw it. We do not rename or remove a reason code or an error code that software may rely on; we only add.
- **11. Our liability**: You use the service, and act on its answers, at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that arises from using the service or from relying on an answer: trading losses, lost tokens or funds, lost profits, lost opportunity, or any indirect loss, however it arises.

  Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited. If a court finds that this exclusion does not apply to a loss, our total liability to you for it is limited to what you paid us for the service in the twelve months before it.
- **12. What is ours**: The service, its rules and our own risk labels belong to us. You get a non-exclusive right to use the answers we give you, as section 5 describes.
- **13. Your data**: What we record and why is in our [privacy note](https://lorglabs.com/privacy.md).
- **14. Ending**: You can stop using the service at any time. We may stop serving anyone who breaks these terms.
- **15. Law**: These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland decide any dispute about them.
- **16. Changes to these terms**: We post changes here with their date. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply to you.
